Paper Saucer Maker, Ujjain.
From pressing paper to signing employee cheques.
An intrepid micro-scale businessman, Dilip dabbled with all sorts of jobs, with contracts ranging from dressmaking to the sourcing of miscellaneous items for restaurants in Gujarat. After working endless hours for years, he eventually went to Ujjain, where his ingenuity and resourcefulness saw an opportunity.
He found his niche in making little eco-friendly paper saucers. These saucers are used by the small restaurants that cater to the throng of pilgrims that visit the town of Ujjain.
In the last 5 years, Dilip has moved from manual pedal based presses to automated presses that stamp out paper cups at many times the throughput of a manual machine. A loan from Aye Finance has enabled him to buy 2 new automated presses to add to his two existing machines.
Now an employer of four people, he has become a major supplier to a medium scale corporation that supplies paper saucers across the state. His business venture is now providing him with a steady and substantial source of revenue and is building his profits. With the right kind of aid, he is now confident that he can double the scope of his operation in the next two years, and perhaps even add another line of business.
Dreams are aspirations and goals that are wrapped up with ideas of success, which become the guiding light of life. Dilip is a man who knew what he wanted out of life. He knew that with time and dedication he would get what he wants – and get it he did.
